Can I use these during an actual match?

Yes! The cards are designed to be used during changeovers and breaks to help you reset, refocus, and adjust your game plan quickly.  Did you know that USTA rules require cell phones and smartwatches to be turned off or in airplane mode during a match, as using them is considered coaching and can lead to a penalty.  However, you can  bring written notes to the court and read them during a match (USTA Comment 30.1)

I’ve been playing for years — why would I need these cards?

Even pros have coaches who remind them of fundamentals. These cards sharpen strategy under pressure!

I can just look up tips and techniques online.  Why would I need coaching cards?

Accepted Answer

Yes — but these are organized, curated, and courtside-ready. No phone, no scrolling. And in a match, you are not supposed to have your phone, nor are you allowed to scroll through it. You can, however, have notes and cards in your tennis bag to review.

Can juniors use these cards too?

Yes! Juniors benefit greatly from learning how to problem-solve and think strategically instead of relying solely on sideline coaching.

Perfect! These reinforce what you’re learning — and help you remember it between lessons and during matches.

I don’t play in tournaments. Why would I need something like this?

They’re made for fun, everyday players too — to keep the game interesting and improve consistency. We all like to go into a match prepared and to do our best! And as you improve, you will want to play in charity tournaments and other events!

These cards sound awesome, how do I purchase and where can I find them?

You can purchase them online at Kirstie's website.(https://www.kirstiemarx.com/coachingcards) Currently, there are options to pick up directly from her after or before her lessons and clinics.  During the holidays, the Pro Shop at Kildaire Farms will be a pickup point for all cards purchased online.  And we just added the The Cocoon Gallery (https://www.cocoongallerync.com/)in downtown Apex as a pick-up point. You would purchase the cards online and choose this location.  Someone will reach out to you to set up a time and date for pick up.
