Kirstie Marx is a coach, mentor, encourager, and friend to so many.
Three years ago, Kirstie underwent brain surgery due to having Trigeminal Neuralgia (TN). Unfortunately complications from the first surgery requires Kirstie to undergo another brain surgery at Duke on July 29th. This journey has been physically painful, emotionally exhausting, and financially overwhelming.
Yet, through it all, she continues to show up with courage, faith, and the same heart she brings to every court, every class, and every person she meets.
This fundraiser exists because no one should walk a road like this alone. All proceeds from this event will go directly to Coach Kirstie to assist with out of pocket medical expenses, lost wages and other related expenses.
Tournament Details
This year’s Rally for Coach Kirstie will include a fun, community‑centered Doubles Tennis Tournament designed for all ages and skill levels. The goal is simple: play, connect, and support Kirstie as she prepares for her upcoming surgery. Whether you’re competitive or just here to play for a cause, this event is designed for everyone.

Trigeminal Neuralgia (TN) Information
Trigeminal Neuralgia (TN) is a rare neurological disorder that causes sudden, severe facial pain along the trigeminal nerve — the nerve responsible for sensation in the face. While uncommon, it is one of the most recognized facial pain conditions because of how intense and life‑altering the pain can be.
For many, including Kirstie, TN brings unpredictable episodes of sharp, electric‑shock‑like pain triggered by everyday activities such as talking, chewing, brushing teeth, or even a light breeze. After months of evaluations and specialist care, her medical team has recommended brain surgery as the next step toward relief and long‑term healing.
Kirstie shares this part of her journey not only to explain why this fundraiser matters, but also to offer hope, connection, and resources to others walking a similar road.
